Introductory Post

This year, my Signature project is largely based on the work I have done in the Department of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics (DNET) that started over the past summer. When I started my work in the summer program, I went in with the mindset that I wanted experience working in the medical field. Throughout my time working, I have been on three different projects that have furthered my knowledge of neuroscience and neurosurgery. For my Signature, I want to start by seeing how far I have come since the beginning of my time in DNET. I have continued my work throughout this year, although things the pace of things has slowed down. Once I have organized my thoughts about my past projects and shared them on my blog, I will start posting updates about what I am currently doing in the lab. One of my overall goals for the year is that I will continue to develop my academics and career plans. I hope to continue improving my skills in writing literature reviews and parts of research papers on whichever topics I might find myself working on.
